Butchery Supervisor Wanted

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Butchery Supervisor. As the Butchery Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our butchery operations, including managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring top-notch customer service.

Requirements:

• Minimum of grade 12.

• Proven work & supervisory experience essential.

• Ability to work with and cut all meat species, produce sausage, and minced products.

• Proven track record of efficiently supervising a department’s gross profit and selling prices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with suppliers, staff, and customers.

• Experience within a retail environment is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all day-to-day supervisory details of the butchery department.

• Supervising department operations.

• Proficiently work with and cut all meat species (beef, pork, lamb, chicken).

• Supervise the department efficiently, managing employee performance and department requirements.

• Coordinate with suppliers, place orders, and manage stock through weekly and monthly

stock takes.

• Supervise and lead a team of staff members, ensuring high performance and adherence to

standards.

• Maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards within the department.
